We are the only contract newspaper printer in the UAE and the biggest book printer in the Middle East with a production capacity of 15 million books a month. We can print one million forms a day on the fastest sheet-fed production technology in the country – and three million using web offset. Two commercial webs, three newspaper webs and 14 sheet-fed offset machines add up to the highest printing capacity in the UAE and one of the largest Print & Publishing Houses in the Middle East. Logistics & Quality
Al Ghurair is a direct importer of print materials from sources worldwide, keeping a stock of 10,000 tons of branded paper constantly on hand. This allows us to meet all production needs and distribute locally and globally, while maintaining a competitive and stable price. Our considerable group purchasing power, dedicated Delivery Fleet and connectivity to international airlines and couriers, guarantees our customers best value products and the shortest shipment times.
Security Printing
Security is paramount in today’s world – for individuals, airlines, financial institutions and Governments alike. Al Ghurair’s Security Printing operation helps fight fraud and deception in every form. We use the very latest security printing techniques to produce Cheque Books and Drafts, Election Ballot Papers, Tamper-proof Envelopes, Passports, Identity Cards and Visa Papers. We also print Security Stamps and Documents, Certificates, Gift and Recharge Vouchers and Contract & Bond Papers.
Pre-Press
Our Pre-Press department works around the clock to satisfy your needs, offering a wide range of services designed to achieve the perfect result when your project goes into production. These services include typesetting, file management, image enhancement, retouching, colour correction, colour management, digital printing, imposition, plate making and proofreading. Our 60-strong team also undertakes more-specialized services such as Braille transcribing and printing.
Binding & Finishing
The largest automated binding facilities in the UAE enables Al Ghurair Printing & Publishing to not only bind a formidable number of local publications but to compete successfully worldwide. We have the capacity to bind an average of half-a-million books a day and are the leading printer of educational books and learning materials for both government and private sectors in the Middle East, U.K and much of Africa.
The Future
Al Ghurair’s Printing & Publishing expertise is recognized far beyond our own UAE shores. We have offices in the U.K, Kenya, Ethiopia & Afghanistan and are represented in Iraq, Mozambique, Tanzania and Singapore. Our current export markets are the Middle East, Europe and Africa but we will soon be extending these to include the U.S.A, Australia and the rest of the world.
